As you now know, we recently made the extremely difficult decision to cancel this year’s Gender Odyssey conference. It has been especially heart-breaking as we were excited to celebrate our 20th anniversary! It has been an amazing twenty years of inspiration, hope, and collective efforts to make the world a better place for trans and gender diverse adults, teens, children and their families. Gender Odyssey has always been a place where both heartache and joy coexist, and attendees were always able to leave with a dose of hope for the future.
This past week, we have spent a little bit of time grieving and a LOT of time considering what to do as we move forward. We want you to know that we feel hopeful! We are still here to support you and are ramping up our virtual support offerings online for families nationwide through Gender Diversity’s newest program www.transfamilies.org. Many of our Gender Odyssey presenters have expressed excitement at offering their conference workshops via webinar, and we are directing our energies towards this prospect. We will keep you posted with updates on that development.
As we assess how to best roll out virtual sessions, we know we need to take care of YOU first and foremost. The financial hit for you, us, for everyone is significant. We now have a refund process in place and appreciate your patience.
Please complete the request form below. Some of you have generously offered to donate some or all of your registration fees. For that we are deeply grateful. Your donation is tax deductible. Please indicate your donation on the form and we will send a tax receipt for your records. All full and partial refund requests will be processed within 7 business days of receipt.
Because we must shift our focus on next steps, we must close this refund/donation process on April 10. Please be sure to complete your request by then. Any registrations left after that day will be considered donations, and tax receipts will be mailed to the address we have on file.
