Crispin Torres joined Howard Brown Health at the beginning of 2017 as Howard Brown’s first Legislative Policy Advocate. Crispin is an activist and public policy advocate from Chicago. He has spent the last 15 years working in LGBTQ advocacy, movement strategy, and education. Crispin previously served as Lambda Legal’s Midwest Regional Community Educator, and has worked with many government agencies on educational trainings and policy reform. He served as the 2015 Co-Director of The Trans 100, served on the board for Trans Tech Social Enterprises, Founder of Chicago Trans Pride, and is currently a cabinet member of Chicago’s newly formed, Pride Action Tank. Crispin is committed to working toward creating affordable and accessible healthcare paths for all LGBTQ individuals and people living with HIV.
