At Gender Odyssey, we work hard to develop programming that is relevant to as many people as possible. Many of our regular sessions are topic-driven and you may even see the same session title each year. However, these workshops may vary greatly depending on the audience and how they personally relate to the topic.
We often develop workshops that are designed exclusively for a specific audience. This is to allow for a deeper exploration of a specific topic or experience that might not otherwise be achieved. These sessions are a result of feedback and input provided by Gender Odyssey attendees.
Some sessions are exclusive to the specific target audience. A number of sessions are structured as “fish bowl” discussions where the participatory audience is identified but others may attend as listeners only. We also list sessions that may be “of interest” to a particular track as well. We hope this information will be helpful.

What Do Attendees Say?
We asked attendees at least year’s conference what they liked best about the workshops they attended and here’s what some of them had to say:
The conversation got really real, really fast.
How respectful all people were and how open the dialogue was. How much the voices of POC (especially Black) were respected and esteemed.
Frankness, diversity, attention to diversity not represented.
Being able to discuss race/culture/society/etc openly and safely.
