Course Objectives
GOF Objectives
- You will gain an understanding of some of the obstacles facing families raising a gender non-conforming or transgender child.
- You will gain familiarity with terminology specific to the experiences of transgender children.
- You will gain an understanding of how a transgender or gender fluid identity manifests and the variations that can occur based on progressive stages of child development.
GO Objectives
- You will gain an understanding of the transgender community as a whole.
- You will be better prepared to understand the complexities and barriers that transgender people encounter.
- You will gain an increased exposure to the diversity of gender identity and expression that exists within the transgender/gender non-conforming communities.
